Due to lack of police trained and approved shootingtrainers new gun licences have declined. 500 new trainers are planned to be trained during the summer months.

For hunters, long gun licences are almost as easy to get as before. Short guns are now limited to 22lr single action revolvers or single shots. Age limit raised from 15 years to 18 years for own personal rifle/shotgun licence.
